Introduction to Biosecurity
A 4-Week Online Course
This course provides an introduction to biosecurity, exploring the risks of future pandemics and the impact of emerging technologies like AI. You'll learn about a range of interventions to prevent, detect, and respond to pandemics, as well as about steps you can take to get more involved in this important field.Each week includes approximately 1.5 hours of readings followed by a 1.5-hour facilitated discussion session. The July 2025 syllabus can be found linked below, and can be used as a reading list while no course is running. Sign up to the mailing list below to be notified when applications next open.We will be running our pilot round of local versions starting late April or early-mid May 2026. A local version either runs in person, or online with a specific country or regional focus. If you would like to run a local version, apply here by 27th March 2026.
